Summary
The gallant action off Dieppe, March 1812. By H.M. Brigs Roasario & Griffonne , Cpan Harvey & Trollope, defeating 12 French Brigs, each carrying 4 long carronades, 32 Ps and 30 men, Taking Three of the Brigs and destroying two more, although the French had a majority of 22, guns & 440 men. The view here taken is 3/4 mile eastward of Dieppe, under the high cliffs.
