Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar
Summary
The Hickory Tussock Moth caterpillar, Lophocampa caryae, has hairs that can cause itchy rashes on your skin and if the microscopic barbed hairs are transferred to your eyes there can be serious medical complications. The moths fly in May and June.
