Arthur de Montmeja is known for his photographs for the medical journal Revue Photographique des Hopitaux de Paris, a very rare scientific photographic journal published for 8 years from 1869 to 1876. Most of the photographs depict the peculiarities and mutations that nature has endowed patients with. In addition, the journal contains a number of articles by the most respected maestros of science, papers on specialties, micrography and ancillary sciences. It is a continuation of the "Photographic Clinic of the Paris Hospital" already existing in dermatology, founded in 1868 by Montmège and Alfred Hardy.
