Haruta Hirotsugu - Tsuba with Fly and Spiders - Walters 51391
Summary
The decoration on this tsuba is confined to the raised rim. At the upper left edge sits a fly. One spider is below it. Another spider is along the upper right edge as though approaching the fly. There is also a cherry blossom on the lower edge. This tsuba is one of a pair with Walters 51.392 and had a matching lacquer box.
