Guy's Hospital- Life in a London Hospital, England, 1941
Stretcher cases are rushed through to the surgery at Guy's Hospital, where doctors, nurses and almoners attend to patients. Two patients are on trollies, but the one in the foreground is still lying on the steel stretcher on which they were brought to the hospital. The stretcher has been balanced on two wooden A frames to allow hospital staff to attend to the patient. The almoners take personal details from the patients to allow them to make arrangements for after-care.

It was responsible for coordinating and controlling all government information and propaganda, both within the UK and abroad. The Ministry of Information was created to help the government communicate with the public and to ensure that important information was disseminated effectively. It was also responsible for managing the media and censoring certain types of information that might be harmful to morale or national security. The Ministry of Information played a crucial role in shaping public opinion during the war, and it worked closely with other government departments to develop and implement a range of propaganda campaigns. The Ministry of Information was dissolved in 1946, following the end of World War II.
