Print shows an allegorical scene with three female figures, seated on the left is America, standing center, on clouds, is Peace holding an olive branch in her right hand raised toward an airy "Temple of Commerce" and, in her left hand, the right wrist of Britannia who stands on the right with shield and spear. Includes verse: When fell debate & civil wars shall cease, / Commerce shall spread her sails o'er all the seas. / England unrivall'd in the liberal arts, / Shall bear her genius to remotest parts, / Take to thy breast, America again, / Thou may'st defy imperious France & Spain.
