"Casey" Carlton, an ophthalmologist from Madigan Health Care System at Fort Lewis, Wash., and serving as officer in charge of a U.S. Army South-planned medical readiness and training exercise in Dominican Republic and U.S. Army Maj. (Dr.) Pat Munson, an ophthalmologist, Fort Stewart, Ga., prepare a patient for eye surgery at the the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces in Santo Domingo July 23. The team of U.S. and Dominican personnel conducted more than 350 eye surgeries on adults and children.
