A semi-nomadic African Nilotic tribe living in the savannahs of southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. The Maasai are one of the most famous tribes in East Africa. Despite the development of modern civilisation, they have almost completely preserved their traditional way of life, although this is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing year. They speak the Maasai language.
