Fort Bragg, N.C. - U.S. Army Central hosted a ceremony to recognize Soldiers, Families and civilian volunteers at an annual volunteer award ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 6, 2017. The 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) co-located at Fort Bragg and Fort Knox participated via live teleconference, along with other USARCENT units.

Kathryn Ayvazian and Melanie Beasley, both 1st TSC spouses, were recognized for their volunteerism and contributions to the unit. Beasley was also recognized as USARCENT’s volunteer of the year.

Both ladies volunteered hundreds of hours to support spouses of deployed Soldiers, welcome new Soldiers to the unit, assisted in planning committees for unit events and actively participated in the unit's Family Readiness Group.
