Wildfire - Bastrop County, Texas, March 2, 2012 -- This endangered Houston toad was recovered from a debris pile in Bastrop County, Texas, and safely relocated outside of the area severly burned during the 2011 wildfires. Biologists hired by FEMA are monitoring for the toad as a way to drive survivor recovery forward while FEMA meets its obligation under the Endangered Species Act to ensure no harm comes to the toad or its habitat.
