Summary
Army Capt. Richard E. Crocker, a certified registered nurse anesthetist from Albuquerque, N.M., assigned to the 14th Combat Support Hospital, checks equipment at his forward surgical location in Afghanistan, March 2, 2013. Crocker wrote and illustrated "The Awfully Short Zebra" in his free time, a story he has been telling his children for a decade. He says he plans to send all proceeds from the book to charity.
