The F. andS. first formulated a scheme such as has beenadopted, and has constantly advocated the ad-vancement of milk recording.—Ed., F. and S.) NP.U. MILK SCHEME NOT DEAD The question of the milk scheme of the TST.F.U.,and the proposed amalgamation with the combines, was raised by Mr. G. Simpson at a meeting of theSouth Notts Farmers Executive at Nottingham,Mr. J. D. Holbrook presiding, on Saturdayweek. He (Mr. Simpson) told them emphaticallythat the scheme was not yet dead. A good manypeople had the idea that the scheme had beendropped altogether, but that was not so, and nego-tiations between the N.F.U. and the combines werestill proceeding. It was a very important andgigantic scheme, and it required a good deal ofconsideration to get it into practical shape. Messrs. James Styles and Whitlock, of Rugby and London, announce that they have nowsold the Frankton House Fistate.
