The vexation mingled with difdain expreffed in mouth 6, is illfuited to that energetic face, though it be in a better ftyle than theexpreffion of the fame kind of which we have already taken no-tice. 7. This countenance reprefents terror and rage, but expreflesat the fame time the energy of a hero. The forehead has not fuchan air of grandeur as thofe of faces 3. 5. and 11. 8. Indicates a degree of fear, of imbecillity and relaxation. 9. The exterior outline from the hair down to the beard isblunt to infipidity, which confiderably diminifhes the expreffion ofenergy and greatnefs natural to that face.
