Elizabeth Bohannon makes North Carolina National Guard history as the first female chief warrant officer 5 in the NCNG at her promotion ceremony held at Guard Headquarters, in Raleigh, N.C., Dec. 22, 2014. Army Maj. Gen. Greg Lusk, adjutant general of North Carolina, administered the oath. Her family joined her on stage and pinned her insignia to her dress uniform. “This is the first promotion ceremony my family has been able to see and share,” said Bohannon.
