El Salvadoran humanitarian response soldiers take turns
Summary
El Salvadoran humanitarian response soldiers take turns hurling a rope rescue bag, a tool used in swift water rescue operations, under the close tutelage of Maj. Brian Fernandes (far right), deputy commander, 12th Civil Support Team, New Hampshire Army National Guard in San Juan Opico, El Salvador, June 5. Fernandes led a team of NHARNG soldiers on a five-day visit in support of NH's relationship with San Salvador in the State Partnership Program. The training focused on an exchange of ideas and best practices for rescue techniques, command and control operations and ways to enhance reaction times and interoperability between all organizations involved in swift water response missions.
