Summary

SAVUSAVU, Fiji (Jun. 12, 2015) Doctor Cynthia Hoobler, a veterinarian from World Vets, works with Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Alfredo Winter to prepare a feral dog for surgery during a veterinarian clinic at the Fiji Animal Clinic during Pacific Partnership 2015. The Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) is in Savusavu, Fiji for its first mission port of Pacific Partnership. Pacific Partnership is in its tenth iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
