They are very little trouble requiring no care after being planted, and produce effects unequalled by any other class of plants. Nothing can be more gorgeous than a bed of Cannas or Gladiolus, and the Dahlia in early fall sheds abroad a lustrous splendor that even enUvens the melancholy days.
