Instrument type: Flute in C

Medium: Boxwood, ivory cap and ferrules, nickel silver keys.; 60.4 cm.

Key Holes System: 4 keys, saltspoon. Pin in block, blind pin design in which the pin does not fully perforate both lobes of the block except for the F key block. Blind pin design is unwise although this instrument is very well made. G# key, although it is on lower body joint, is situated fairly low, near fingerhole 4.

Mark Maximum: (crown) / CHRISTIANI / (6-petalled flower) / AMSTERDAM

Mark Additional: Mark on head and foot (upside down on foot). Mark on upper and lower: (crown) / CHRISTIANI

Condition: Head joint severely cracked, both sections, including middle ferrule, repaired with a filling compound.

Provenance: Max Pinette, Brussels, 2 July 1937.
