Nederlands: Batikpatroon'Parang pakis'Dit gebatikte patroon heet Parang pakis, de kapmessen met varenmotieven. Het patroon bestaat uit schuine rijen puntige bruine bladeren met blauwe randen. Deze schuine rijen worden gescheiden door witte S-vormige figuren. De rand heet Upan-upan, als rijstkorrels. Dit patroon werd gedragen door de vorst, de vorstin en de kinderen van de vorst bij de vorstin.voor 1891Afmetingen: 52,7 × 53 cm

Batik

Batik is an Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to the whole cloth. This technique originated from the island of Java, Indonesia.
