Mrs. Brown was very busy for the next twoor three hours; but after the doctor had set Joesleg, and she sat down to watch by him, hermind reverted to Mrs. Ellisons words. Worsenor a heathen, she repeated again and again; whatll become o me ? The words clung to her, ringing in her earslike a trumpet-call. A day or two passed; and heranxiety increased. Finally, much against herinclination, she was driven by her fears to goand see Mrs. Ellison, that she might learn whatshe ought to do. The first visit was followedby many others, until at last her distress andterror, which had been increasing at each inter-view, gave place to the peace and joy of thosewho see in Christ the Way, the Truth and theLife. Mrs. Ellisons hopes were realized, andthe good nurse was able to tell to others howthey might meet death without dread of thejudgment to come.
