Roots can be dug- during thaws in winter orvery early in spring-, when a chang-e of food is most rel-ished. They are boiled whole, then sliced thin and friedbrown with salt pork. Improved Guernsey—This is not the coarse Stock Guern-sey, but the table variety of that name, the sweetest,finest-grained Parsnip grown. Smooth, thick roots,about twelve inches long. Very fine stewed, fried, etc.Pkt., 5c; OZ., 20c; lb., $1.75. Childs Smooth Hollow Crown Parsnip The very finest strain of Parsnip grown. We harvesteda crop of more than a ton of this seed last season. Allhand picked and carefully cured. We are glad to havethis magnificent stock to offer our patrons, as no reallyg-ood seed Parsnip was to be had last year at any price.This improved strain is the largest, handsomest and bestParsnip grown.
