Seed for Winter Bloonupg We have made extensive experiments with all quickgrowing annuals, and to our surprise and delight And thatsome of them make the most beautiful pots of winter flowersthat it is possible to have. Of the following kinds seed canbe sown in pots of good soil at any time from November 1stto January 1st. They will germinate quickly, grow rapidlyand be in bloom in a surprisingly short time, and the pleas-ure which they will afford it is impossible to anticipate. Itis not possible to find any winter flower which will in truebeauty and loveliness surpass some of theseAlyssum, I ittle Cem—An improved variety; much largerflowers of a pure white, and if possible more florif erousthan the old Sweet. Plant is also more robust andspreading, a single plant forming a thick mat of flowersand foliage 12 to 15 inches across.
