Charleston crews from the 437th ALW fly the first aerial combat mission utilizing the USAF's newest cargo aircraft, the C-17 Globemaster III. The C-17 is capable of airlifting five times the payload of its predecessor, the C-130 Hercules, which has been flying the Provide Promise airlift operation into Sarajevo since 1993
