Brig. Gen. Jeffrey W. Drushal (left), chief of transportation and commandant, U.S. Army Transportation School, along with Chief Warrant Officer 5 Donald E. Berg (right), regimental warrant officer recognized the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), Camp Ederle, Vicenza, Italy with the “Best of the Best” award, officially called the 2017 Deployment Excellence Award, during the U.S. Army Transportation Corps annual regimental honors ceremony May 1 at Wylie Hall on Fort Lee, Virginia. The deployment excellence award, instituted in 2000, recognizes units and installation transportation efforts that exceed the Army deployment standards. Accepting the award from the 173rd IBCT (A) were Staff Sgts. Gordon Henry and Marvin Goodman, both transportation management coordinators in the unit.
