BEMOWO PISKIE, Poland — Battle Group Poland recognizes the Bemowo Piskie Training Area Celebration Day, during a ceremony, here, Sept. 7. By the decision of the Minister of National Defense, on the 5th of Sept., BPTA Celebration Day was established to emphasis and pay tribute to the post’s positive impact to local society. In 1939, the armed forces of BPTA fought against the German invasion of Drygaly, Biala Piska from 3-5 September. Battle Group Poland is a unique multinational coalition of U.S., U.K., Croatian and Romanian Soldiers who serve with the Polish 15th Mechanized Brigade as a NATO deterrence force in support of NATO’s Enhanced Force Presence (eFP).
