nd hissong is very different from thatof any of the other Warblers. I once watched one jof thesebirds—olive-green above andyeUow beneath. His mate wason a nest near by and he was entertaining her with his song. He kept it up over two hours, stopping only a few secondsbetween his songs. When Ireached the spot with my field-glass I was attracted by hispeculiar song. I dont knowhow long he had been singing.I stayed and spent two hourswith him and he showed nosigns of stopping. He may besinging yet. I hope he is. You see him here perched ona granite cliff. I suppose hisnest is near by. He makes it of twigs androotlets, with several thicknessesof leaves. It is neatly linedwith fine rootlets and you willalways find it on or near theground. In the September and Octobernumber of ^^ Birds you will findseveral Warblers and Finches.Try to keep track of them andmay be you can do as manyothers have done—tell the namesof new birds that come along bytheir pictures which you haveseen in Birds. 200
