Summary
At sea aboard USS Harpers Ferry Seaman Rose Barbour, assigned to the amphibious dock landing ships deck department, uses a pneumatic sander to prepare metal framing for painting preservation. Harpers Ferry is forward deployed to Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan, with a primary mission to transport and launch Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) vessels as well as other amphibious craft, vehicles, crews, and U.S. Marines involved in amphibious operations.
