Anna Mae Hudson (left) and Smokey Cummings (right), are honored during a Rosie the Riveter Memorial Rose Garden Dedication ceremony in Bedford, Ind., March 21. Hudson and Cummings are “Rosies” who worked at the Crane base during the post-WWII era when it was still Naval Ammunition Depot Crane. Civilians working on what is now called Naval Support Activity Crane continue to support the Warfighter through its two tenant commands, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and Crane Army Ammunition Activity.
