EAST CHINA SEA (Apr. 19, 2014) An MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Reinforced), takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) to conduct search and rescue operations in support of the sunken ferry Sewol. Sailors and Marines aboard Bonhomme Richard are assisting in search and rescue operations as requested by the Republic of Korea navy near the scene of the sunken ferry Sewol in the vicinity of the island Jindo.
