On April 8, 2006, Iraqi 6th Division, 3rd Brigade located on Forward Operating Base Constitution held a meeting between Iraqi soldiers and Iraqi Police. The meeting was planned so Iraqi Army, COL. Nasar and Iraqi Police, COL. Kareem could plan ways for the two services to provide better public service and work together for the people in the Baghdad area. U.S. Army SPC. Kyle Thomas, a track vehicle mechanic assigned to Echo Company, 27th Base Support Battalion, 1ST Cavalry Division, welds a mounting bracket onto an engineer vehicle at the motor pool. The Fort Bliss, Texas, vehicle mechanic helped engineer a metal bracket to secure the rocket-propelled grenade deflection cage usually attached to the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier and redesigned it to mount on an engineer route clearance vehicle for added force protection for forces in the Mosul.
