Louis Jean Baptiste Igout was a French photographer and publisher, born in 1837. He began his career as a photographer in the mid-19th century and quickly gained a reputation for his skill and artistry. In addition to his work as a photographer, Igout was also a publisher. He founded his own publishing house in Paris, specialising in the production of high-quality photographic prints. Igout's company became known for its innovative printing techniques, which allowed for greater detail and clarity in photographic images. Despite his success, Igout's life was cut short when he died in 1881 at the age of 44, but his legacy lives on through his contributions to the field of photography and publishing. His work continues to inspire and influence photographers and publishers around the world.
