Summary
Airmen from Travis Air Force Base were on a mission to set several world records in the C5-M Super Galaxy April 3, 2015. Two C-5 M's and a combined crew of Airmen from the 349th and 60th Air Mobility Wing were put the through the paces preparing the aircraft for a mission that will include altitude in horizontal flight, time-to-climb with payload, and greatest payload to 9,000 meters among several other records. The mission also provided valuable extensive training for both ground troops and aircrew involved. The great weight of the requires a concerted effort to transfer into the hold of the aircraft.
