Summary
Airman 1st Class Ryan Nolan from the 380th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron surveys land around a recently moved building. Airman Nolan is using a Trimble Survey Rover to perform this operation. The rover uses triangulation with a base station to set coordinates for a base map and allows for up to .01 meter accuracy. Airman Nolan performs this task frequently as it is utilized for a variety of different purposes such as new structures, movement of assets and much more. Airman Nolan is deployed from the 435th Civil Engineer Squadron out of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, his hometown is Pekin, Ill.
