Summary
Aircrew members with the 353rd Special Operation Group Detachment 1 conduct pre-flight inspections on CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft at Yokota Air Base, Japan, April 15, 2018. Approximately 100 Airmen and five Ospreys deployed to Yokota Air Base to participate in regional exercises. The Osprey combines the vertical takeoff, landing and hover qualities of a helicopter with the long-range, fuel efficient and speed characteristics of a turboprop aircraft.
