Summary
Publicity photograph of the Finnish actor Aino-Maija Tikkanen (1927–2014).
Here we have various samples of Finnish advertisements from the 20th century, including interesting pieces of Finnish propaganda intended for soldiers of invading Soviet Army. Finnish leaflets were thrown from the planes above Russian troops in order to convince Soviet soldiers to surrender. During World War 2 Finland was in alliance with Nazi Germany. Russia fought against Finland too even before July 1941 when the German Wehrmacht invaded. Finnish authorities promised good food and a bottle of vodka to those who surrender. Anyway, it was not so easy for the Soviets to accept this proposal. Special security regiments were observing troops - to catch everyone who fled to Finland or any other German ally and to shoot him down right on the place or throw him in jail.
