A Spanish trainer assists an Iraqi soldier, assigned to the 72nd Iraqi Army Brigade, with loading a .50 caliber machine gun during a combined arms breach training exercise (CABEX) at Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Jan. 27, 2016. The CABEX validates the brigade’s ability to maneuver multiple assets across the battlefield as well as the ability to defeat obstacles such as mine fields, berms, locked doors and windows. Training at the building partner capacity sites is an integral part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational effort to train Iraqi Security Force personnel to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
