A small dent in an F-16 Fighting Falcon rotor blade,
Summary
A small dent in an F-16 Fighting Falcon rotor blade, Sept. 5, 2017. Even a such a seemingly small level of damage needs to be diligently repaired to ensure the safety of the pilot and continuation of counter-terrorism operations in Afghanistan. A turbine fan repair would normally involve shipping the engine to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, but the team was qualified to make the repairs in theater.
