A Force Reconnaissance Marine with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force utilizes a Broco Forced Entry Tactical Torch during Visit, Board, Search and Seizure training in Iroquois Point, Hawaii, Jan. 13, 2020. During the VBSS training, the Marines will be honing ship boarding and seizure capabilities to better perform maritime interdiction operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
