HOBBEA1A (Meindert)(Amsterdam (638 1709 Amsterdam) 34* Cottage under Trees* On the right stand several trees with rich foliage near a shallowwater, over which, following a foot-path, a plank is thrown. Onthis plank a peasant and his white dog are approaching, lie has ared jacket on and holds a stick in his left. In the middle distance,adjoining the trees, is a cottage with a straw-roof. A peasant isapproaching the door on the right. On the left there are somemore trees, through which is seen a country of dunes intersected byvegetation. Blue sky with white clouds.
