A C-17 Globemaster III filled with airmen from the 1st Combat Camera Squadron awaits takeoff before the Ability to Survive and Operate exercise Jan. 14, 2013, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 1st CTCS held the exercise to train airmen to function outside the wire as combat documentation specialists. The week-long exercise began Jan. 7 and ended Jan. 18.
