Summary
200416-N-HR150-1010 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 16, 2020) - Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Adam Painton, from Prescott Valley, Arizona, aligns the continuous treatment system (CTS) in the fire room of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). The CTS sends treatment chemicals to the deaerated feed tank, maintaining proper alkalinity, conductivity and chlorination of boiler feed water. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
