US Navy (USN) Fire Controlman Third Class (FC3) Jay Metzger acts as an aft safety observer during a live fire exercise on board USN Oliver Hazard Perry Class Guided Missile Frigate USS REUBAN JAMES (FFG 57) during Exercise INSPIRED SIREN 02. Astern are two Pakistani Navy Tariq (Amazon) Class Type 21 Frigates, the PNS BABUR (D 182) and PNS SHAHJAHAN (D 186). The JAMES is currently participating in Exercise INSPIRED SIREN '02 a US and Pakistani bilateral military exercise involving surface and air forces from the two nations to enhance interoperability and tactical proficiency. It will also refine and strengthen the existing military-to-military relationships of the two nations
