Raymond Stromberger, commanding officer of Navy Recruiting District San Francisco, explains the capabilities of a Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet jet airplane to officer candidate Brenden Peterson on the flight line of Moffett Field. Blue Angels, the Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, were at Moffett Field in preparation for their performance at Super Bowl 50. Peterson, son of Navy Recruiting District San Francisco’s Command Master Chief David Peterson, was surprised by his father and Stromberger with the opportunity to take the oath of enlistment in front of a Blue Angels jet airplane.
