Summary
150315-N-NT265-007 EAST CHINA SEA (March 15, 2015) – A Landing Craft Utility (LCU), assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, moves through the East China Sea after launching from the well deck of the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) and the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) steams on the horizon. Ashland is part of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently conducting a certification exercise (CERTEX).
