Summary
Significance: Adjacent to the Pennsylvania Railroad Altoona Works, the largest railroad-owned construction shops in the country, this building provided services for the railroad builders and engineers who lived and worked in the area. The structure was originally constructed as a garage connected to two neighboring buildings and included a steel-trussed roof, concrete floor and gas heat.
