PUS TUBES—HANLEY. regfular—menstrual period lasting- four days,—no pain and inevery respect normal; occurring- every twenty-eig^ht days untiltwo years ago, when she received an injury while riding- a wheel.She ran into a wag-on, striking- her abdomen ag-ainst the vehicle.There has never been any history of leucorrhea or any dischargeefrom vagfina or dysmenorrhea prior to the injury or after it. 432 SOCIETY PROCEEDINGS. Alenstruation ceased for ten weeks after the injury, when she hada severe attack of hemorrhagic, accompanied by pain and convul-sions. The attacks of spasm and dyspnea would occur at variousintervals, sometimes coming- on every two weeks and lasting-three or four days with four or five convulsions during- twentyfour hours. She had been informed she had an ovarian cyst andwas referred to Dr. Hanley for operation. Patient was preparedfor section and on opening- the abdomen, examination revealedthe presence of two larg-e pus tubes, one measuring- six incheslong-, by
