Traction with Simpsons forceps. sometimes involving rectum, bladder, and urethra, thus lead-ing to subsequent ulceration and fistulse; rupture or injury toveins and subsequent phlebitis ; possibly fracture of pelvicbones and separation of pelvic joints when great force is em-ployed.
