[Избиение сахарных тростей для свиньи] / Williamson & Howitt; J. Clark etched.
Резюме
Print shows three men on horseback, carrying spears, waiting, as Natives systematically beat sugarcane with bamboo staffs and, with the aid of two dogs, drive a wild hog from cover past the waiting hunters. Also shown are two oxen yoked to a plow, fleeing for their own safety, and Natives around an irrigation well at the edge of the cane field, likewise concerned for their safety. In the background, at the edge of the cane field, an elephant is used to turn back, ahead of the beaters, a hog that has attempted to escape by doubling back around the end of the line of Natives.
