YOSE 224325: Wolverine Scat - Public Domain image, National Parks Gallery

Wolverine scat found early in 1994 along the Tioga Road by Craig Bates, Curator of Ethnography. Shortly after this scat was collected, a ranger reported seeing a wolverine in the same area. The first confirmed wolverine sighting in California since 1922 occurred in 2008 when a wolverine was photographed north of the park in the Tahoe National Forest.
