WADI SHADIYA, Jordan (May 11, 2017) - U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines, assault an objective while participating in live fire drills during Exercise Eager Lion 17 in Wadi Shadiya, Jordan, May 11, 2017. The exercise focus is to strengthen relationships and interoperability among U.S. Navy-Marine Corps, Jordanian and international forces in the conduct of global contingency operations. The Marines of 3/6 are deployed with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
